No verb conjugation – “I go”, “he go”, “we go” are all the same in Chinese.
Word order is often similar to English: subject-verb-object.
Pinyin is a full learning track — Latin letters with tones, not only a temporary crutch.
You can start speaking with simple sentences right away.

Tones change the meaning – “ma” can mean mother, hemp, horse, or scold.
Measure words sit in front of nouns – “yī gè rén”, “yī běn shū”.
Aspect particles like “le” and “guo” are tricky but crucial for time.
Script choice matters: Pinyin vs 漢字 is a product setting, not “both at once by default.”
