"What is the Italian for...? How can I get all these foreign words into my head? Is there a magic method for learning a foreign language?" Well, there it is!

Every person on Earth has used this method at least once when learning their native language.

​

As a child, your mom probably said, "Repeat after me, sonny: this is the sun!"

​

I call this method "Understand, Memorize, Utilize."

​

This principle is central to the science of language learning at linguistic universities, including my own, the Minsk State Linguistic University.

This principle also forms the basis of my platform, emerging after 30 years of a fulfilling career as a translator and interpreter.​​

Understanding new words and phrases in a broad context is essential for foreign language learners. It allows them to see how vocabulary is applied in everyday situations, making it simpler to recall and utilize.

Sample dialogues that illustrate typical conversations offer a great opportunity to experience the language as it is naturally used. You will improve your comprehension and communication skills by interacting with these, leading to more effective language learning.

For example, when you need to say "I am excited!" you are likely to translate in Italian “Sono eccitato!". However, in Italian, "eccitato" can have a stronger connotation of physical or sexual excitement than the English "excited", especially in some contexts.  Our method teaches you how to avoid misunderstandings like this!

Memorizing vocabulary in the context of dialogue is a technique used by professional linguists. "Instead of memorizing single words, focus on combinations of words, phrases, and complete sentences!" professors at my linguistics university used to tell us. 

​

Why is memorization important? By memorizing phrases and sentences, you create a valuable library in your memory. When you next interact with a native Italian speaker, your mind will instinctively search for the right phrases, and this internal library will supply them for you. 

​

This library is called ACTIVE VOCABULARY, i.e., the vocabulary at your disposal that you can use to express your thoughts and ideas. 

​

When a word or a phrase becomes part of your active vocabulary, you will immediately start recognising it when you comprehend Italian spoken language.

​

This is how human memory functions, and it has been scientifically proven. This method is also how I mastered English.

​​

​My team and I have created 50 dialogues that reflect common conversations across various aspects of daily life. Every sentence has its English translation, a phonetic transcription, and two pronunciation videos—one at a slow pace and the other at normal speed. ​

​

Each dialogue typically contains between 10 and 20 sentences, representing 10 to 20 new colloquial phrases and encompassing 500 to 1000 words that will enhance your active vocabulary.

​

​Additionally, a "Verify Your Pronunciation" widget, which uses AI speech-to-text technology, allows you to compare your spoken words with the original sentence. Use this tool after mastering each sentence to ensure your pronunciation is clear and easily understood by Italian speakers.

​
